One of the few I mentioned were: the Little Mermaid, Barbie: Mermaidia; but we can also look to Barbie: a Mermaid’s Tale and Winx Club’s Enchantix transformations. All of these media also often have summer themed outfits and colours that we think will look great for the perfect mermaid core bedroom.
A Mermaidcore Sleeping Place
First off, let’s talk about the bed. What kind of bed sheets should we use for the beds? Since we’re going for the summer vibes, you’d probably want the blankets and sheets to be light and cooling. We do highly recommend decorating your bed in this manner only during the summer, as that’s when we think mermaidcore fits the best. We’d also preferably have the bed be near or have some sunlight shine on it, not too much, but just enough to make it feel like a mermaid sleeping in her cave. Mermaidcore also can have beads or ruffles to accentuate a fantasy-like feeling when sleeping.
As for colours, we recommend you look up some mermaidcore inspos on pinterest and just through any media you watch that has mermaids. But as for us, we do recommend these colours for mermaidcore:

Pastel yellow
Butter yellow

These colours don’t have to be independent from each other to be considered mermaidcore, of course you can mix and match as you see fit!

Decorating your Mermaidcore Room
Your mermaidcore room of course won’t be complete without the help of some decor. While keeping in palette and theme with the bed, we recommend finding decor that has themes of the sea. The mermaidcore aesthetic relies on the use of imagery of the sea or the ocean, so make sure to make use of this idea. Of course don’t just haptically place these decors anywhere, start small, with a night lamp shaped like a shell or jellyfish or bubbles! Then after that, maybe try curtains that have frills that mimic the sea foam in beaches or have pearls decorate your windows to give an underwater effect!
For your flooring, maybe try some rugs that are lightblue in colour or have towels that mimic colours of the sea or ocean. The mermaidcore is not always about the table or bedside decor, but sometimes the floor decor too!
