Another way we can differentiate our loungewear from winter to spring is through the silhouette. Winter silhouettes in loungewear tend to be more structured and form fitting so as to preserve body heat. They also tend to have more layers and cover more of the body to stay nice and toasty. In the warmer months, we don’t need to focus so much on staying warm. Using spring silhouettes is a lovely way to welcome warmer weather in loungewear. These can include:

• Babydoll. A baby doll silhouette, most recently seen and gained popularity through Sabrina Carpenter’s tour looks, is a cute and fun way to adapt to spring in your loungewear.

• Flowy Bottoms and Skirts. As opposed to the tighter silhouettes of winter, pairing a cute bralette with flowy shorts, pants, or skirts is a stunning way to change your look.

• Short Robes. Compared to a winter robe that might be heavy and long, a spring robe that hits mid-thigh is a dreamy way to embrace the warmer weather.

Coloring is so important when changing from season to season, loungewear included. It can set the vibe and tone for any look right off the bat. Winter palettes typically include deep or icy blues, rich burgundy or scarlet, plums, and forest greens. Below are some colors that you can add into your loungewear this spring.

• Pink. Bringing in the color of the flowers outside is a sure-fire way to add a touch of spring into our loungewear. From the pinks of roses to the pinks of cherry blossoms, pink is the color of spring.

• Yellow. Save the super bright side of the spectrum for summer, spring should focus on a softer, pastel yellow. The color should emulate the color of soft sunlight or the center of a budding flower.

• Blue. The difference between winter blues and spring blues is important to note. A spring blue should either be pastel and light like the color of a clear sky, or brighter like robin egg blue.
