My Summer Morning Routine With Ever Lasting
Good morning sleepy head, I hope you slept well and feel energized to start the day. If you are feeling slow and tired today, then I have a few tips that you can incorporate in your morning routine to maximize your success and productivity throughout the day! Modelled after my summer morning routine, one that I can stick to consistently, that leaves me excited to start the day every morning when I wake up.
Making My Morning Routine Enjoyable
A poorly structured morning routine can leave you feeling defeated as you go into the rest of your day. I find that starting my day with something positive, motivating, and something that brings me joy I feel better, and start the day on a better foot. What works for me, may not be what is right for you, but I hope you leave feeling inspired to structure a morning routine that leads to success.
7AM Wake Up
Rise and Shine sleepy head! My favourite song is my morning anthem that lets me know it's time to rise up and begin my day. I find that waking up to it brings me immediate joy when I open my eyes, but honestly, I simply prefer anything to a traditional alarm sound:) Having a great start to your morning ensures that you begin your morning routine in good spirits and start your day off with your best foot forward.

Oral hygiene and Skincare
The first step in my morning routine and first thing I do when I wake up is head directly to the bathroom. I brush my teeth, wash my face, and brush my hair, so that I feel fresh and awake. Sometimes to ward off a puffy face or tired eyes, I will use an ice roller or even an ice cube to reduce eye bags and water retention. I also find the cooling effect to be a very effective aid in feeling wide awake on the mornings I feel extra tired.

7:30 AM: Stretching, Journaling, Yoga, Reading
After freshening up, I immediately make my bed, so that I am not tempted to crawl back inside for another hour of sleep and completely throw out my morning routine for the day:) I try to spend the first half hour to an hour in the morning away from external distractions and focus on things that bring my peace and joy. When the weather is nice, I might even take a morning walk or enjoy a journaling session outside. Prioritizing these practices in my morning routine has ensured that I take proper care of my physical and mental health each day, before distractions and other hindrances present themselves. Breakfast And Coffee
An important part of my morning routine is breakfast time. After waking up my mind and muscles I always try to fuel up on a hearty breakfast, packed full of vital nutrients to nourish my body throughout the day. I also may be addicted to a morning coffee;) so I treat myself every morning to a hot Capaccino or fresh brew. Preparation For The Day Ahead
After fuelling my mind, body and soul I make list of all the tasks to be accomplished in my day ahead. I star the ones that are high priorities and non-negotiables for the day, then make a note of any goals I hope to accomplish. I find that making a maximum of three goals each day is realistic and feasible, and whatever goals I don't right down that day, I will save for the next. To end my morning routine, I tidy any messes in my kitchen and bedroom, so that I come home to a clean and fresh space, then I am ready to begin my day!
